The occupants of a car which was involved in a crash on a major road in Newton Abbot have sustained “minor injuries”.
Alliance Roads Policing – the roads policing team for Devon and Cornwall Police and Dorset Police – has told DevonLive that a car and a skip truck were involved in the incident.
The occupants of the car received minor injuries while the driver of the truck has been reported.
In a Twitter message, Alliance Roads Police told DevonLive: “There were minor injuries to the occupants of the car and the driver of the skip truck has been reported for driving without due care and attention.”
The road was blocked for a while following the incident as initial investigations were held.
At around 6.15pm, one lane of the road was reopened to traffic.
Then at around 7.25pm, traffic monitoring website Inrix reported that both lanes had reopened, although there were still delays in the area.
