Police called to ‘disorder’ in Exeter city centre

A man has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence following a “disorder” in Exeter city centre.

Police were called to the High Street at 9.44pm on Friday following reports of an incident.

Pictures from the scene show at least four police cars parked outside the McDonald’s restaurant and further up along the High Street.

The Force Incident Manager for Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed officers were called to the area to a “disorder” in the area.

She confirmed that one male was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence, but added that police were still at the scene as of 10.30pm.
