More than 2,500 homes in Torquay have been hit by a power cut this evening, Western Power Distribution has confirmed.
The lights went out at 7.11pm on Wednesday (Decmeber 9).
The power company says it has found the fault and hopes to get power back to customers shortly.
A spokesman said: “We’ve got a fault and itis affecting about 2,5000 customers.
“We hope to have it repaired in the next 20 minutes.”

The fault is understood to have originated in a cable. Torbay Hospital has not been affected, the power company confirmed.
