Exeter could be set to get a second B&M.
The budget variety retailers already have an outlet at the Rydon Lane Retail Park, but now, they seem set to open at the Stone Lane Retail Park in Marsh Barton as well.
B&M Retail Limited have applied for a new premises license for a B&M Store, that would operate out of Unit 4 at the Stone Lane Retail Park.
Unit 4 at the retail park is currently vacant.
However, plans last year were given the go ahead by Exeter City Council for the provision of an outdoor garden centre in the rear service yard, so a change of use planning application may be required before the B&M can open.
The B&M business is based on providing customers with a limited assortment within each of the product ranges, so they can access the best-selling items at value retail prices, and gives the customers the goods they want at the prices they want.
The premises licence application would enable them to sell alcohol between 7am and 11pm, Monday to Sunday, and any representations must be made in writing to the Licensing Department by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by 25 September 2020.
