Teenage motorcyclists taken to hospital after crash

Two teenagers have been taken to hospital following a crash in Ivybridge.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the collision involving a Citroen Picasso and two 125cc motorcycles took place on Marjorie Kelly Way at 10.39pm last night (August 14).

As a result, two motorcyclists aged 18 and 19 years old were taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth for treatment.

Local officers as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team attended and a forensic examination of the scene was conducted.

This led to a section of the road to be closed while the examinations were carried out.

An appeal for witnesses or anyone who might have dash cam footage of the incident has been issued by police as investigations into the crash continue.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers are seeking any witnesses and or dash cam of the collision and the build up to it, they are requested to please contact them on the 101 system quoting log number 1091 of August 14 2020.

“Once a full examination of the scene was conducted the road was re-opened.

“Officers would also like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.”
