Three hurt and driving offences reported after crash

Three people were hurt and a woman was been reported for driving offences after a crash in North Devon this morning.

The incident left the B3343 blocked near the North Devon Shooting Ground at Trimstone.

A police spokesperson said: “Police called at 7.52am to B3343 to reports of a two vehicle collision.

“Three people reported to have sustained possible injuries.

“A woman in her 40s has been reported to court for driving without due care and attention.

“Both vehicles have been recovered and the road is cleared.”

Elsewhere on the roads, there is travel chaos as incidents close several major routes.

The A38 has been closed until further notice after a dog walker was seriously injured after being hit by a tyre.

And, in South Devon, the A379 at Teignmouth Hill in Dawlish has been closed due to a crash involving a car and a lorry.

Meanwhile, in West Devon, the main road between Plymouth and Tavistock is currently partially blocked in both directions due to what’s being described as a serious crash near Magpie Leisure Park.
